Looking handsome in their Sunday best

We love our Sundays but it has gotten particularly difficult being spiritually nourished with our Isaac in action. He is everywhere and on everything. Only a couple more months until he gets to go to blessed nursery.

Hiccups at midnight

Last night I woke up to comfort Isaac and after putting him back to bed I got some really intense hiccups, like one every four seconds. I tried drinking water upside down, holding my breath; I even tried my secret hiccup remover routine (which is holding my breath while drinking water and waiving my arms all around). There seemed to be no end to them. While lying in bed waiting for the next scare attempt from Cody (who was needless to say, so ready to go back to sleep) I wondered if the hiccups were in rhythm with my heart so I placed my pointer finger and thumb near the limp nodes on my neck, tilted my head up and squeezed. Immediately they were gone. Not sure if that was just luck or a dynamite way of getting rid of the hiccups. What ever it was we were pleased as pie to get back to sleep.

Happy Holidays

We had a merry Christmas with Mom, Dad, and Leah at our home. There was music, hiking, hot tubbing, In and Out, and of course GAMES.

We spent a day in Tombstone Arizona touring the old stomping grounds of Wyatt Earp, and Doc Holiday. It was hard not to take on a cowboy accent as walked through saloons and rode on a horse and coach.

Happy Holidays

We celebrated our Thanksgiving with the Decker side. I made my very first turkey. It was a contest between my brother Seth and me and hands down he won. We enjoyed a hike up to Camel Back Mountain. Unfortunately the flu went around in my parents house, most everyone got it except for Cody (lucky guy).

spit up

Isaac was talking into my shoulder as I was sitting at the computer, when I brought him to face me this is what I got. Spit up all down my back and all over his sweet little face. Not surprising, this boy rarely has a dry shirt.

Mr Smiley boy at 10:45pm!!!

Sunday, April 4, 2010

For Isaac's blessing on March 7th, 2010, we had the privilege of having so many family members with us. Thanks for coming everyone!!

Going into US Airways arena to watch Steven Nash and the Suns! Besides cheering for them, there were a few fights, technicals, and some "Granger sucks!" chants led by BLandon.
Red Robbin
Mariners Spring Training in Peoria, AZ. The M's got killed, but at least we got to see Griffey and Ichiro!
Mom and Dad were absolutely thrilled to actually be picking Lemons from a tree. They also picked oranges and grapefruit.

The whole weekend was spectacular. Everyone slept well in our little apartment (everyone except for Joe, Scott, Brandon, Leah, and Dad). Nothing like AZ in the winter!

Welcome Isaac Cody Peterson

This last Friday I woke up at about 4:00 am unable to sleep. I was cramping and uncomfortable but I did not think it could be anything serious. At 7:00 I saw my doctor for the weeks check up and discovered I was dialated to a 2 1/2. "Today's baby day" he said. Isaac came via VBAC after two and a half hours of pushing. I think I would have ended up with another c-section with out the support of my awesome doctor, nurses, sisters (Liz and Clare) mom, and of course husband. It was an amazing experience. Isaac came two weeks early on Friday December 11th at 8:05 in the evening. He weighed 6, 10. I love you baby and I am so happy you are here with us.

We're still alive in Rexburg, ID!

We apologize for the brief (just a few months) absence from the blogging scene. We thought we'd post a couple pictures of some of the happenings over the last couple of months, featuring Zach of course. Our final winter in Rexburg is coming to an end, with graduation looming only a month away! This place has been very good to us, creating memories that won't soon be forgotten. Anyway, here are the pics, starting from most recent all the way down to Halloween:

Zach started out a little nervous, but that didn't last long.

Christmas in Arizona

The post-bath bath robe!

Just hangin out with cousins!

Zach was thrilled to be an OWL for Halloween!

Oh, he looks so smart.

Happy Anniversery Codes!!!!

With a dinner at Applebees and dessert at Jamba Juice we celebrated our two year anniversary. Having our little Zach and our beautiful friendship makes two years feel so very short. I feel like I have known Cody for so much longer; it truly has been wonderful. I feel so blessed to be married to such a smart, kind, faithful, and of course, handsome man. Thank you Cody for making my life so rich with love.

A Bountiful Harvest

There are many perks to being college students or more so "married" college students. Here at BYU-I we took part in the married student gardens. After planting and a couple months growing and weeding the labor paid off. With all the fresh produce we made lots of stir fry, salsa, and zucchini bread. I love fresh produce.
