Oh, he looks so smart.
- The Peterson Family
- I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. -President Thomas S. Monson

Happy Anniversery Codes!!!!
With a dinner at Applebees and dessert at Jamba Juice we celebrated our two year anniversary. Having our little Zach and our beautiful friendship makes two years feel so very short. I feel like I have known Cody for so much longer; it truly has been wonderful. I feel so blessed to be married to such a smart, kind, faithful, and of course, handsome man. Thank you Cody for making my life so rich with love.
A Bountiful Harvest
There are many perks to being college students or more so "married" college students. Here at BYU-I we took part in the married student gardens. After planting and a couple months growing and weeding the labor paid off. With all the fresh produce we made lots of stir fry, salsa, and zucchini bread. I love fresh produce.

After Bend Oregon we headed up to Washington to visit mom, dad and Leah. During the five days that we were there they took us on a real train ride up in the mountains, up the space needle in Seattle, on a sweet roller coaster, on the Duck (a land and water tour of Seattle) and more. They were incredibly fun and we were so happy to create some more family memories.
Of course we played cards and Zachary got to have a lot of Grandma and Grandpa time.
During our vacation Stephanie Myers Breaking Dawn had become available so Leah and I being the silly girls we are went and picked up a copy at midnight the day it came out. We read half the book aloud to each other. Most of our commute time was spent reading quietly to each other in the back of the car while Cody would randomly yell out "Oh Edward!!! Oh Bella!!!". Of course we loved the book and were completely giddy reading it together. Girls can be sooooo silly.
Break!!!
So after a crazy semester Cody and I were ready for our seven week break before fall semester. We started it off with a fun vacation up to Blackfoot Idaho to visit Scott and Erin. Next we went up to Bend Oregon to see Cody's grandparents. We got a great view of Bend and ate New York pizza the size of my face. It was great to catch up on some Peterson history from Grandpa Pete as well.

Warm River, Ashton, ID
In celebration of the end of Finals week, we hiked around and swam in Warm River. I don't know how it got its name, but it was freezing. It was very beautiful and felt good to get outside. We both suffered horrible sunburns, but that was half the reason we went, if you can't tell by our sweet farmers' tans!

Co-ed Softball champions at BYU-Idaho!!!
We recently participated in a University Co-ed softball team. After losing only one game during the regular season, we blazed through the tournament. Laura caught the game saving (running) catch in the first game of the tournament for the last out in the final inning, preventing the tying run from scoring! In the semifinals, Cody smashed a 1-1 pitch into deep center, well over the 40ft fence for a spectacular home run(can you tell who is writing!?), capping an 11-4 victory. In the final, we came back from a 6-0 hole to win in the final inning! It was quite fun, plus we got a T-shirt.
