Washington Trip

Me and my kiddo's spent two fun filled weeks in Washington with Grandma. It was so nice to be able to escape this Arizona heat. The kids loved being at their Grandma watering flowers, picking raspberries in the garden, going on walks, playing at the beach, and many park outings. Thank you mom for having us out and making the trip so fun and thank you Aunt Leah for being such a big help.

Isaac had his first ice cream cone and he loved it.

This was taken on Jetty Island. It was perfect for the kids with cousins, warm water, puddles, and sand.

Our little cousin Amy spent some traveling time in the car with us and the boys loved having her in between them. She handed them their drinks and snacks and played games of peek a boo too.

Heres a pic of beautiful aunt Leah giving up the front seat to me. Thank you Leah!

CAMPING FUN

We have been looking forward to going camping for a long time and we had so much fun. The weather was cool, the trees smelled beautiful and the tin foil dinners tasted delicious.

Here is a pic of Zach with his cousins Hardy and Berlin. There is nothing better to these kids then exploring the out doors and getting as dirty as possible.

My sister Clare is taking a hack at this log. We spent a lot of time looking for fire wood.

My sweet S.I.L Chelsea and her little guy Cole.

My brother Hyrum getting a fire started.

Here is Isaac in his booster seat. These little ones where trying their mommies nerves around the camp fire. We felt better when we tied Isaac to a tree, leaving him with a 8 ft radius to explore. He didn't go for that for too long.

We are happy to announce that Cody is now officially in the Air Force. We feel very blessed to have gotten this scholarship and look forward the future. Here are some pictures of when he was sworn in last week and for those of you who didn't know yes I am pregnant and expecting a girl!!!

A lot of Cody's faculty came for the event. Seriously so neat.

He was sworn in by one of his teachers who was an optometrist in the Air Force, Professor Rainey.

HAPPY EASTER

Isaac's first hair cut

We have been letting Isaac's hair grow out for a long time now and soon realized how annoying it must have been for him to see out of those bangs. So we put him in his booster in front of the t.v. with some licorice and trimmed it up a bit.

Looking handsome in their Sunday best

We love our Sundays but it has gotten particularly difficult being spiritually nourished with our Isaac in action. He is everywhere and on everything. Only a couple more months until he gets to go to blessed nursery.

Hiccups at midnight

Last night I woke up to comfort Isaac and after putting him back to bed I got some really intense hiccups, like one every four seconds. I tried drinking water upside down, holding my breath; I even tried my secret hiccup remover routine (which is holding my breath while drinking water and waiving my arms all around). There seemed to be no end to them. While lying in bed waiting for the next scare attempt from Cody (who was needless to say, so ready to go back to sleep) I wondered if the hiccups were in rhythm with my heart so I placed my pointer finger and thumb near the limp nodes on my neck, tilted my head up and squeezed. Immediately they were gone. Not sure if that was just luck or a dynamite way of getting rid of the hiccups. What ever it was we were pleased as pie to get back to sleep.

Happy Holidays

We had a merry Christmas with Mom, Dad, and Leah at our home. There was music, hiking, hot tubbing, In and Out, and of course GAMES.

We spent a day in Tombstone Arizona touring the old stomping grounds of Wyatt Earp, and Doc Holiday. It was hard not to take on a cowboy accent as walked through saloons and rode on a horse and coach.

Happy Holidays

We celebrated our Thanksgiving with the Decker side. I made my very first turkey. It was a contest between my brother Seth and me and hands down he won. We enjoyed a hike up to Camel Back Mountain. Unfortunately the flu went around in my parents house, most everyone got it except for Cody (lucky guy).
